FIRST CHAIR LITIGATION EXPERIENCE:

  • Obtaining favorable verdicts, impeaching unreliable witnesses, and negotiating favorable settlements.

  • Successfully appealing and overturning erroneous decisions in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

  • Arguing a variety of motions and taking dozens of depositions in matters with over $75 million at stake.

  • Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and discovery demands in a wide variety of federal and state forums.

  • Working with expert witnesses to develop discovery, deposition, and trial strategies.

  • Forming non-linear review teams and providing them with the forensic metadata analytics training needed to find critical evidence early.

  • Training and managing hundreds of eDiscovery attorneys and professionals responsible for the collection and analysis of more than 250 million pages of evidence.

  • Performing damages analyses involving lost profits, price erosion, and reasonable royalties.

  • Writing scripts and custom indexing alphabets to reduce discovery-related costs and expand eDiscovery vendors’ capabilities using, e.g., Python, SQLite, and dtSearch.

PROSECUTION EXPERIENCE:

  • Preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a broad range of technologies, namely, medical devices, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, and 3D printers.

  • Performing patentability analyses and drafting patentability opinions.

  • Conducting interviews with inventors, experts, and USPTO examiners.
